DIFFERENT TOOLS. KNOW THE JOB.
A connection is only part of the story.
Looking for a VPN or a way to manage team accounts? Start with the problem you need to solve. Routing traffic and sharing access are different jobs.
What does a VPN do?
A VPN routes traffic through a virtual private network. Depending on the product and configuration, it may cover an entire device or only selected traffic. It does not, by itself, organise shared website logins, assign account permissions or carry a team’s saved browser setup.
Where does Vestigo fit?
Vestigo combines a shared browser setup with browser connection routing. Its focus is helping approved teammates use saved account setups across devices. The public preview does not promise a device-wide VPN, a specific server network or a particular country list.
Browser routing vs. device-wide coverage
Browser routing concerns traffic from the browser environment. Other applications on your device may use a different connection. If you need a VPN for every application, check the product’s documented coverage rather than assuming a browser tool covers the whole device.
Can it replace a VPN?
That depends on your requirements. If you need device-wide routing, verify that separately. If your problem is sharing a browser account and continuing a saved setup on another device, that is the workflow Vestigo is being built around. Availability and supported locations will be announced when confirmed.
Different route. Same rules.
Connection routing does not change a service’s account-sharing terms. It does not guarantee anonymity, access to a particular website or freedom from account restrictions. Check the service’s rules, use accounts you are authorised to access and keep your team’s permissions deliberate.
